The federally listed Historic District is an enclave of 46 vintage rustic coastal cottages originally built in the 1920's. After you park your car in El Moro lot, you must hike inland about three miles, mostly uphill. If you like to hike ,or mountain bike, or be outside with Southern California nature, you're going to love this place. There are several types of trails to choose from, depending on your physical capabilities or mood for the day. The terrain is mostly gravel/dirt and some loose sand.  For the most part, the trails are well-defined and easy to stay on.  There are trail markers, although they may seem a little hard to interpret at first. Go down to the beach and watch the tide-pools as starfish and sea anemone take your company.  This place is very family friendly and the view is unmatched!
